About NHCS
North Hardin Christian School, a ministry of Fellowship Independent Baptist Church, is a coeducational school that offers conservative Christian families and their children a Biblically integrated college preparatory program. Our goal is to help each other grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and become effective in advancing the cause of Christianity in our culture.
In August of 1986, Fellowship Independent Baptist Church started a private Christian school with students enrolled in kindergarten through grade seven. An additional grade was added each year over the course of the next five years. The school has experienced steady growth and has graduated young people who are currently enrolled in or have already graduated from college. In April 2002, NHCS was awarded accreditation status from the American Association of Christian Schools. On July 22, 2003, NHCS was certified by the Kentucky Department of Education for meeting the standards established by the Kentucky Non-Public Schools Commission.
SCHOOL INFORMATION
North Hardin Christian School holds a distinctive place among educational institutions in the Fort Knox, Radcliff, and Elizabethtown areas of Hardin County by providing high-quality affordable Christian education for more than 20 years. NHCS holds the unique distinction of being the only private school in Hardin County that is accredited by AACS and certified by the Kentucky Department of Education. Recent graduates, including Governor’s Scholars and students receiving appointments to service academies, have received millions in scholarships. At the core of NHCS is the commitment to traditional education in a Christ-centered environment.
Located only 10 minutes from Fort Knox and Elizabethtown, NHCS is located right off Highway 313 in Radcliff, Kentucky. Our spacious facilities include four buildings on 10 acres. The Primary Center is specially designed for preschool and kindergarten students with an attached outdoor park. The elementary wing holds 12 classrooms, computer lab, and library. The current high school is under expansion. This project will result in 7 classrooms, computer lab, two science labs, media center, and cafeteria expansion. The current gymnasium and cafeteria are situated between the elementary and high school wings. In addition to the adequate outdoor space, athletic fields are under construction for football, soccer, baseball, and softball.

Extended Care Program
As a convenience to our school families, NHCS offers an extended care program each day school is in session. In addition, day camp is offered during interim breaks. Click here to view a school calendar.
The extended care program is available to NHCS students before school from 6:30-8 AM and up to three hours after school from 3-6 PM.
Morning Care (6:30 - 8 AM)
- Any elementary student dropped off before 8 AM will be place in the AM extended care program.
- Students are welcome to bring a “bagged breakfast” to morning care.
- Students will be dismissed to classes at 8 AM.
- Students will be held in the cafeteria of the main building and allowed to sit at the tables during AM care.
- Students are welcome to eat, read, study, color, or other “sitting” activity while in AM care.
After-School Care (3 - 6 PM)
- Any elementary student not picked up by 3 PM will be automatically placed in the extended care program.
- Students are encouraged to pack a snack for PM care.
- The PM care program is based out of the Primary Center. The NHCS flag system conveniently allows parents to know where to pick up their children.
- Students are allowed to play with toys and games. Books and puzzles are also available. When the weather is favorable, students are allowed in the outdoor park adjacent to the extended care rooms.

Dear Friends:
The day comes when we must pass the torch of leadership to new leaders. We are given a brief moment to acquaint those behind us with the knowledge and power of His might. How do we pass on our greatest treasure to those who come after us? The truths and experiences the “time in Christ” has brought us have become our pearls of great price. Our methods seem to be uncertain. We must press with our strength to leave footprints deep enough to serve as landmarks along the way. These footprints cannot be established by fables, traditions, or commandments of men. Matthew 28:19-20 says to “Go ye therefore and teach…”
North Hardin Christian School is committed to teach the hearts and minds of young people in an effort to prepare them for both time and eternity. Our purpose in establishing this Christian work is to build better citizens at a time when our country and the cause of Christ so desperately need young men and women to take a firm stand for the Christian-American way of life!
